HEADWAY SEFTON
Welcome to Headway Sefton
Headway Sefton is a volunteer-led community for people who have brain injuries. We also welcome friends and family who care for someone who has a brain injury.
We know how important it is for people going through the trauma of
brain injury to find a safe supportive space. Headway Sefton offers a space where you can build connections with others who understand exactly what you're experiencing.
Many people who have a brain injury can be left with changes in emotional behaviours. These are more difficult to see than the more obvious problems such as mobility and speech. The truth is, emotions, low self-esteem and isolation can be the most difficult issue to manage for brain-injured people and their loved ones to deal with.
Being in a group with others helps us to learn new coping skills, reduce isolation and build our confidence.
